  • Review of Open Forum: Topics raised during the parent open forum were reviewed and discussed. Many good suggestions were received from the parents in attendance.

  • Review of Teacher Interviews: A discussion was had concerning the faculty interviews that were conducted on October 26, 2010.

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences: Conferences are scheduled for November 10 and 11, 2010. Some of the shared time teachers will be available to meet with parents during that time as well.

  • Playground Concern: A concern was brought to the board regarding the condition of the playground equipment. Although we would like to replace the equipment, it isn't a feasible option at this time. Things that could be considered are painting the current equipment, installing additional flood lights to help deter after-hours visitors, and laying down more pea gravel.

  • Attending Bible Study: It is being suggested to the faculty, via a letter from the Elders, that they attend one of the bible studies that are available to the congregation.

  • Walk-a-thon & Mimeo Boards: Enough money was raised during the walk-a-thon to complete the outfitting of our classrooms with mimeo equipment.

  • Gym Bleachers: The new gym bleachers have arrived. They are a vast improvement over the old bleachers and allow for much more seating capacity.

  • Principal's Call Committee: The Committee has had its initial meeting, with another scheduled for later in November. Mr. Braun from the District will attend the next meeting.

  • BOE Replacements: Jamie Lovelace and Ann McLeod have been elected to fill the vacant Board of Education seats. They will be contacted and asked to attend the December BOE meeting.
