Adult New Member Instruction for St. Peter's Church will begin on Thursday, September 16 at 7:00pm. We will go through the scriptures, get to know about the Lutheran Faith; learn about St. Peter's and take some time to get to know each other. The classes will run from 7:00-8:15pm and we will meet in the St. Peter's Early Childhood Center.

Family Devotion and Activity

The ECC Boosters will be sponsoring a Devotions Picnic on Sunday, June 13th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. This family fun and fellowship will be held at Steffens Park/Fort Fraser on 14 Mile Rd and Garfield in Fraser (map).

Join us for an afternoon of discipleship, fellowship and family. The ECC Boosters would like everyone to come and enjoy an end of the school year picnic. The event will begin with devotion for the entire family followed by family barbecue and picnic. The meal will be pot-luck style with barbecues available to cook food. Families will then be able to enjoy the amenities of the park including the Fort Fraser playground. Families of all sizes and ages, from one to twenty, are encouraged to enjoy reading God's Word, food, fellowship and games.

Car Wash

The St. Peter's Youth Group will be hosting a car wash to benefit their National Gathering in New Orleans this July. This event will be held in the ECC parking lot from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, June 12th. Cost is $5.00 per car.

Spring 2010 Human Care Projects

St. Peter's Human Care project this spring, Giving Tree/Diaper Drive to benefit Compassion Pregnancy.

The Giving Tree is set up in the church hallway. Please take a Baby Ornament to donate diapers or other baby needs.

Donations needed are diapers of any size, baby and toddler clothes, bath items, and towels or crib sheets. These donations will be delivered to Compassion Pregnancy for their needs. This project is co-sponsored by the Lutherans of Life.

Place your baby items in the "pack-n-play" by the Giving Tree by Sunday, June 20th

Ice Cream Social

You're invited to join us in the middle of the church basement on Sunday, May 23 for some ice cream from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Students and families of the Lutheran High School Association will be hosting this event. Free will donations will be accepted and applied toward the LHSA bills.

Lutheran Camping Weekend

Fresh air, swimming, campfires and s'mores! St. Thomas Lutheran Church's 8th Annual Camping Weekend is on August 13th and 14th at Addison Oaks Campground (map). The camp sites are in group areas 5 and 6 next to the bathrooms (site map). The cost is $32.00 a night per site. Come for fun, fellowship and a potluck dinner on Saturday evening, followed by a worship service. One night or both nights' deposit will need to be made ASAP. (It has been extended from June 1st) to St. Thomas Lutheran, 23801 Kelly Rd, Eastpointe, MI 48021. Only 5 spots left! It is going to be a lot of fun! Vacation Bible School

St Peter's Lutheran Church presents the 2010 Planet Zoom Vacation Bible School. Where Bold BEE-lievers ZIP, ZAP and ZOOM for Jesus. This will be held June 21st through 25th from 9:00am to 12:00pm Monday thru Friday, for kids 3 years old up to 6th grade. Help is needed in the hive. Spring Music Concert

St Peter's National Youth Gathering

Friends, family, and supporters of St Peter's National Youth Gathering - you are invited to participate in the fundraising effort on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010.
