Jesus Grows Generations Here: Bible Studies for Every Age and Stage
At St. Peter’s, we offer numerous Bible studies throughout the week, providing opportunities for every age and stage of life to grow in God’s Word. Whether you are seeking deeper understanding, meaningful discussion, or fellowship with others, there’s a place for you to connect, learn, and be encouraged in faith.
Introduction to The Chosen – A Sunday Morning Bible Study Journey.
Sunday mornings at 9:15 am in the church basement.
Welcome to our Bible study series based on The Chosen — the groundbreaking television series that brings the story of Jesus and His disciples to life in a fresh and powerful way. Unlike traditional portrayals, The Chosen invites us to experience the life and ministry of Jesus through the eyes of those who knew Him personally — ordinary people called to an extraordinary mission.
As we journey through this study, each episode of The Chosen will serve as a springboard into Scripture, helping us to explore the historical and spiritual context of the Gospels more deeply. This series is not meant to replace the Bible but to inspire us to engage with it more fully — to see Jesus more clearly, love Him more dearly, and follow Him more nearly.
Let us open our hearts to what God wants to teach us through His Word, through discussion, and through the powerful storytelling of The Chosen. May this study deepen our faith, strengthen our community, and draw us closer to the heart of Christ. Classes will be held on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am in the church basement. You may wish to bring a Bible and a notebook.
New Book Study: Limping with God by Chad Bird 2nd and 4th Sundays at 7:00 p.m.
Location: School Basement Bible Study room
Join us for a new Bible study based on Chad Bird’s powerful book Limping with God: Jacob and the Old Testament Guide to Messy Discipleship. In this series, we’ll walk through the life of Jacob — a man who wrestled with God, made mistakes, and still became a key part of God’s redemptive plan.
This study invites us to embrace the truth that discipleship isn’t about perfection — it’s about God’s faithfulness in the middle of our mess. Come explore how God uses broken people, difficult circumstances, and unexpected detours to shape our walk with Him.
Books are available at the church office or online. All are welcome — bring a Bible, a friend, and an open heart! For more information, contact the church office at church@stpeterslutheranchurch.net.
